I'm sending luck and wishes
All wrapped up in a hug
Good things should come your way
With this tiny ladybug.

Candleworks

JustRite stamps lend themselves beautifully to cards and tags.  This week Challenge #72 wanted us to take stamping to a new level....create a 3D gift or home decor itme using JustRite stamps. Check it out a t http://justritestampers.typepad.com  - So the challenge thinking began.  I remembered saving in my "favorites",  a flower design by Jeffery Rudell  (I love anything floral) that was used to create a candle "cover" (I love candles too!).   What better way to make a project for this JustRite 3D challenge and use JustRite stamps to decorate it (along with some other stash items)  By Day or by Night,
 Supples Used:
   Various cardstocks
   Stamps: JustRite Kaleidoscope
Inks: Distress Dusty Concord, Memento Sweet Plum
   Dies: Spellbinders scalloped squares; squares
Misc: Offray Flower with Pearl trim, Kaisercraft square rhinestones, Swarovski golden crystals,
    Tulip tiny glass beads,
I do hope this 3D project inspires you to nake your own!

Cameo Lady

Card Supplies

Paper:  Tan and Green Carstock
Stamp:  Unity Toile
Inks: Distress - Bundled Sage, Barn Door, Scattered Straw
Dies:  Spellbinder Elegant Oval; Marianne Cameo
Ribbon: May Arts Lace
Bling:  jewel center from some a flower, feathers, feather boa, pearls
Other: Sakura 3D Crystal Lacquer

Challenge #17 at Joan's Garden (http://www.atjoansgardens.com/) directed us to create a vintage  card using green and tan colors (add an accent color) upon a stamped background.  Some while ago I acquired the Toile background stamp and have been waiting for the "perfect" opportunity to use it on a card.  Once I'd stamped it and distressed the image,    the card just "fell together" using die cuts and bits of stuff I had lying around.  Does it look like a card that grandmother saved?

Butterfly Kisses

Seems like this week I waited until the last minute to put my entry for Challenge #16 at http://www.atjoansgardens.com/.  We were instructed us to use yellow/gold; lattic/scallops; patterned background paper and, oh yes, butterflies.  I love that we are given multiple guidelines, it makes the creating process a fun challenging one.  Anyway, taking the guidelines, I put together the card.  The background patterned paper is of yellow roses and I've waited for years to put it to use!  Other card materials include:
Dies: Cherry Lynn (Lattice/butterflies)
Punches: Martha Stewart Butterflies
Flowers: premade...various
Ribbon: May Arts crinkle/gold
Stickles: Gold glitter for butterflies' bodies.
Stamp:  Unknown
Inks: versamark; Zing gold embossing powder;  copic Y000(to color large flower petals)
Cardstocks: Yellow, gold foil

JustRite for Mom

If you click on http://www.justritestampers.com/default.aspx you will be takn to the JustRite store - a place filled with wonderful stamps (although I'm sad JustRite no longer produces the original ribbed sets).  For this card I used: http://www.justritestampers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?productid=JB-08097

Card Supplies in addition to the JustRite Stamps
Card Stocks
Paper: Prima
Die: Cherry Lynn, Spellbinders
Ink: Copic, Versamark, Distress
Embossing Powder: Zing
Flowers: Recollections, 7 Gypsies, Hobby Lobby
Ribbons: May Arts
Misc: American Greeting pearls/pearl butterfly, swarovski crystal, thread colored with RV14

Perfect Pastels challenge created a perfect starting point to create a special card for my Mom for Mother's Day..  Lots of flowers and lacey layers.  In the oval, I created my own bold message with the added touch of a crystal (I love sparkle!) in place of a stamped apostrophe.  The flower in the upper left was colored with RV14.  (It was the only Copic color I had of the three).  I hope Mom will think this card is as lovely as I think she is!
