I started with a picture I took of leaves that had fallen on our sidewalk. The yellows and browns of the leaves just looked so pretty against the grain o the sidewalk. I used that picture as the background of the card. On the color wheel, purple is opposite brown, so I chose a purple May Arts silk ribbon, twine, and a large brown brad (unknown) and a couple of small purple brads to create a dimensional bow and attach the ribbon.. Distress Ink (Vintage Photo) was smudged around the edge of the photo. The Thank You stamp is from Just Rite. Mounted on a cream colored cardstock and attached to a light brown card base, the card is finished. I lined te inside with a cream colored paper. Thank you very much!

Halloween Little Witch Vintage
October is such a fun time! Fall is in the air and Halloween is right around the corner. I had fun creating this card using Graphic 45 Halloween Haunting paper. I used a Impression Obsession background stamp on black cardstock and embossed the image with black. A bit of ribbon and three black brads completed the card front. I lined the inside of the card with orange and stamped a Halloween verse from Northwoods rubber stamp company. Boo!

"Frozen" Elsa Birthday
Hard to believe that little bundle of Grandma's joy is turning 4. She dances around the house singing "Let It Go" and loves watching Elsa create her ice castle (video). I was inspired to use Frozen imagery to create a special glittery (girl after my own heart lol!) birthday card. Now, the mechanics of the card:

Thank You Gary
Inside card with fence photo and personal message |
First of all let me thank Polly's Paper Studio from whom I cased this card. I was so totally impressed with it as I scrolling Pinterest for thank you card ideas. I wanted a special one to give our son. While out of town, he surprised us by building a new fence for us. He gave up a couple of golf days to get it done before we returned home! He screwed each picket to the header boards...wow! a fence to last my lifetime. I printed a 8 1/2 x 11" picture of the fence to create the inside of the card. A personal thank you message was printed on top of the photo. Then the page was mounted to the inside of the card
Supplies:
May Arts Ribbon
Tag (unknown)
Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Memento Ink
JustRite Stamp
Photo Images from Internet: Golfer, postage stamp
Photo of completed fence
Misc. Papers/cardstock
