Outlines Sketch Challenge #38
http://outlineswithkathy.blogspot.com/ is the site for the above sketch challenge this week. Using a color theme of black and gold I recreated the sketch in this card.
Card Supplies
Paper: Gold Metalic Cardstock, Black cardstock, vellum, and white card base
Stamps: Outlines Rubber Stamps
Misc: Zing Embossing powder, Prima Say it with Pearls-Black, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Embossing Folder
Note: A photographer I am not! the gold embossed tulips at the top of the card actually look like the bottom. Because of the reflection off the gold metalic cardstock, I had to angle the picture slightly and the top half of the tulips appear shadowed. Oh well...you get the idea!

I hear you on the difficulties of photographing shiny things! Love the color palette you chose for this card. Very classy and elegant.
ReplyDeleteI've never played with any of the background stamps from Outlines and so it is inspiring to see what you did with yours. Thanks!
Never would have thought to gold emboss this stamp Lyn. Did you try taking the photo with no flash, works wonders with shiny things :)I like your idea of using just a portion of the background stamp too. Great card
ReplyDeleteWow! So chic!
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult to get a good picture of gold metallic card stock! But we all know how pretty it is in person! Love the CB'ed Vellum too! Thanks for playing along with Outlines this week!
ReplyDeleteWow! That gold embossing on black looks so classy! What an elegant card!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us in the Outlines Challenge this week!
