When I saw this sketch for the Mojo Monday challenge, I immediately thought of Just Rite's Quiet Moments stamp set. The JR challenge this week is to create and use your own "designer" paper to create a card and I ended up combining both challenges into one card. For my design paper, I used the fairy wings from the Quiet Moments set and stamped/embossed with clear on white watercolor paper. Distress stain was used to brush over the heat embossed images to create a blue paper with wings. I Stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored it with Copics. Copics were also used to color the embellishment (flower). The leaves behind the flower are repurposed from an old silk flower. To me, this card evokes the memories of special quiet moments I had with my mother and later in life with my daughter. Quiet...loving....special! I hope you too have those special quiet times!
For this card:
Paper: cardstocks, watercolor
Stamp: JR Quiet Moments
Die: Spellbinder Circles, Stampin Up scallop punch
Color: Copics, Distress Stain (faded jeans) Distress Pad (weathered wood)
Misc: Swarovski crystals (stars), distress stickles (flower), Zing White embossing powder
Like how this turned out.
